The BBM team at BlackBerry seems to be moving full steam ahead. Shortly after the recent updates to BBM, and the availability of BBM for Gingerbread Android devices, BlackBerry has announced that Stickers will be the next big upcoming feature to BBM.

These stickers will be available for purchase in the BBM Shop, and will come in packs of 20-25 stickers relating to a theme or character like CosCat, Gilbert’s Tales, Bubble Bot and more. They can also be characters from TV and movies in sticker form. This seems to be an interesting way to monetise BBM, and if deals could be made with major movie and television publishers, this could be pretty interesting. Wouldn’t an Avengers themed sticker pack be pretty awesome?

The limited external beta for stickers and the BBM Shop will start today.
