EZ Pass Off To A Good Start?

EZ Pass was launched 2 months ago, or rather a month on 31 March. EZ Pass is offering Enterprise customers a chance to convert any other MDM license from companies like Good, MobileIron, and Airwatch into a BES 10 license with free support until January 31st, 2015. In fact, they will also upgrade licenses from BES 5 to BES 10 which can be used to manage BlackBerry along with iOS and Android.

Now, in a interview with computing UK, BlackBerry let them know that EZ Pass has a big interest with many enterprise customers.

The Ez Pass or BlackBerry Enterprise Server migration scheme, has been experiencing “tremendous interest” from major customers who are now willing to stick on with them as they transit to an enterprise productivity mobile management company.

Vice-president of security product management and research at BlackBerry, Michael K Brown, told Computing UK at the Infosec conference in London:

I think it’s going to be very successful. The theme we’ve been getting from the customers is a loyalty to the product, especially in terms of the multi-platform offering that’s there. The point is that the products work independently of each other – a BlackBerry doesn’t need a BES, but works extremely well with a BES. And BES doesn’t need a BlackBerry, but will manage a BlackBerry extremely well. The two of them go together extremely well. But the reality of business is they won’t just have BlackBerry devices – they’ll have iOS devices, or Windows devices – which incidentally we’re supporting soon.
