BlackBerry seems to have finally decided to treat BBM like an app that deserves to be constantly updated instead of just once a year. In fact, they are making it more consumer oriented than ever before. Even though we have just received a BBM updated with so much for features, BlackBerry has just teased us with even more features!
The next release of BBM will support photo sharing in multi person chats, the ability to send larger files through BBM and larger emoticons. While the file size limit on shared files has historically been set at 6MB, BlackBerry are increasing this to 16MB in the next release of BBM.
This means is that you’ll be able to send bigger pictures, larger documents and longer videos.
For example, the 6MB transfer limit today allows you to send about 6 seconds of 1080p HD video. With the increase to 16MB, you will be able to send 16 seconds of video using the same settings.
