Only 2 days have passed since the initial release of OpenWhatsapp and an update is already available. This update brings new features and a little interface change. Check it out!

The update brings new features (some of which should have existed right from start I admit). You now have a settings page where you can set different options for display layout, notifications and conversation options. Contacts now has a Text field for searching, and it also fixed the issue with links not being clickable in sent and received messages.

There is now an update checker too, so you get notified from inside the app once a new update is available.
