Financial Times had a opportunity to speak to John Chen back at the MWC 2014, and here is his frank interview with them. The interview revolved around whether if BlackBerry could ever be more than a nice player he responded that he hoped the would become a dominant player. Its all about execution for his plans and delivering every single time to the consumers successfully.

Apparently, Financial Times have edited and removed John’s statement and now, it does not include the 50/50 comment. The real question was “What are the chances of becoming more than a niche player?” BUT, news media outlet are reporting it as: Mr Chen thinks BlackBerry has a 50/50 chance to survive.

Ridiculous? I think so too.
