As we all know, on the 18 September, there’s a mystery event going on in France, India as well as Malaysia. Nope, no love for Singapore or the states. But what exactly will be going on there?Well, most signs have been pointing to the official release of BBM for the 2 platforms, namely Apple and Android (Jellybean). But now that’s set to change.
Apparently, pocket-lint’s sources have informed them that the BlackBerry Z30 is set to launch ‘next week’, which, makes sense towards this event. In fact, their soruces are even more precise by stating that the BlackBerry Z30 will debut at the Malaysia event specifically – although France and India are more than likely to see the handset, as well.
The BlackBerry Z30 will sport a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, OS 10.2 and a 2,880mAh battery. Other specifications include 16GB internal storage with microSD card support, Qi wireless charging, and a 8-megapixel camera.
Additionally, BlackBerry is rumoured to ship a leather backed case that has a “smart cover”-like features built-in. When you flip open the front cover, the screen illuminates like Apple’s iPad.
Following the launch of the BlackBerry Z30 in Asia, the handset will also launch in the US in 2 – 3 weeks, about October 1.
