One of the much anticipated app, Instagram, is up and running on BlackBerry 10. This is NOT the official version by any means. Simply an Android port (side-loading required) that works on the BlackBerry 10.
Previous attempts at an Android port was unsuccessful as the app would try to authenticate the device with Instagram’s servers. I have no idea what was changed to be frank. Perhaps Instagram simply allowed BlackBerry to access their server. Or perhaps this is an early alpha/beta of the version that has been rumoured to hit BlackBerry 10 eventually. All we can do is speculate.
Do note that it might still have some issues as its not a BlackBerry supported version. Nonetheless, this version is said to be working relatively well by users who have tested it. If you are one of the lucky few in Singapore who has a Z10, why not give it a try and side-load this into your Z10.
