Research In Motion has taken third place as the most purchased brand of smartphone in Q3 2012, knocking Nokia out of the top 5. According to IDC on the 25 October who released the worldwide smartphone shipments of smartphones for Q3 of 2012. In the worldwide smartphone market vendors shipped 179.7 million units in 3Q12 compared to 123.7 million units in 3Q11, a whopping 45.3% growth!
Even as the next quarter at RIM might not be so bright as the knowledge of BB10 continues to grow as does the excitement from many BlackBerry users, the BlackBerry sales might slow down considerably, but everyone knows that. Yet, RIM keeps coming out with a solid balance sheet, which is a perfectly good sign.
