According to reports floating around, BlackBerry is looking to close their software design operations in Sweden. Started by its acquisition of The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) in 2010, the team grew. After we took a look at all the microSD’s from the 64GB, the next consumer category that is up and rising is the 128GB category. Right now, it is limited to mainly this 3 brands: Lexar, SanDisk and Samsung. After SanDisk released their 128GB, they had close to no competition until Lexar joined in the fun. BlackBerry To Acquire WatchDox, To Set-up R&D Center in Israel
BlackBerry seems to have made their latest acquisition with the file sync and share platform, WatchDox. The deal, worth between US$150-200 Million, is apparently signed earlier this week and with that, BlackBerry will open its first R&D center in Israel, where WatchDox is based.
