BlackBerry Priv April Update Rolling Out

The April security patch for the BlackBerry Priv is now available to download OTA from BlackBerry. The update, which weighs in around 20.9MB, brings some further security enhancements to the phone. ~~As this is just being rolled out, change log is not yet readily available.~~
Update: It seems like this is the same version BlackBerry pushed out in the US last week to patch a rooting vulnerability, so the patch has just reached our shores!

~~Note: This update brings the version up to AAE298, which seems to be purpose-designed for the current CVE-2015-1805 vulnerability!~~

Update 2:This is indeed the April Patch as confirmed by BlackBerry. This April patch brings about not only 1, but 25 CVE patches, which includes CVE-2015-1805 as mentioned earlier.

An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the shared Android/Linux kernel used in affected versions of BlackBerry PRIV smartphones. The kernel constitutes the central core of the smartphone’s operating system. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in an attacker gaining elevated privileges on the smartphone. In order to exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must craft a malicious app. The attacker must then persuade a user to download and install the malicious app. This vulnerability has a Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSSv2) score of 6.9.
