BlackBerry just announced that Cameron Vernest is now the Managing director in Singapore and Philippines. As the Managing Director of Singapore and the Philippines at BlackBerry, Cameron Vernest is now responsible for driving the growth and success of BlackBerry in both markets and building and cultivating BlackBerry’s relationships with various partners. He will oversee various functional areas including sales, marketing and operations. This is one big responsibility of his.

He has been with BlackBerry for over four years and was previously Country Director for the Philippines. He can be credited with propelling BlackBerry to be the #2 selling smartphone in 2012 there. Prior to this, he was Head of Distribution Sales and Retail for Thailand, where the country reached a milestone of one million BlackBerry subscribers. In addition, has also held various roles in finance and commercial operations in Waterloo, Canada and Singapore.

Cameron is a Certified Management Accountant and holds an M.B.A in Finance and Accounting from the Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honors from the University of Guelph, Canada.
