After much anticipation, BlackBerry 10 has finally been officially launched in Singapore. The launch event kicked off mid afternoon with a press conference, followed by a launch party in the evening. The even was held at the ArtScience Museum located at Marina Bay Sands.

There was not much that we did not already see from the unveiling on the 30th of January, so I shall not go into detail about it. The important information would be that sales of the BlackBerry Z10 would start March 7th. Earlier in the day, we have already seen  all 3 local carrier announced the pre-ordering/registration of the Z10.

At the event, guests were treated to a look at the accessories that would be available for the Z10, and of course not forgetting the device itself. An “Experience Forum” was set up specifically for guests to test the device, accompanied by employees guiding the guests along the way.

Shortly after, the launch party kicked off to a rather wet start as it started raining. Despite the weather being damp, the excitement of guests did not seem to have dampened at all. Guests from the party were cordially welcomed, and then treated to the “Experience Forums” as well. The ambiance of the venue was just amazing. Of course the drinks did help with that I must admit.

3 lucky winners walked away from the event with a Z10. A bunch of accessories such as Bluetooth headset, Music Gateway, etc were given away as lucky draw prizes as well.

Overall the event went pretty smoothly. Guests there seems to be genuinely enjoying themselves. There were other entertainment as well such as caricature artist, and street magic performance for the guests to indulge themselves with. Twitter feed with the hashtag #BB10SG seems to reflect a pretty positive vibe and anticipation for BlackBerry’s latest offerings as well.
