If you have been following us closely or on Singtel network with BIS, you would have known that the BlackBerry Service Centre is now at The Cathay. Known as the BlackBerry Expert Centre, located strategically at The Cathay on Handy Road, the center is exclusively dedicated to providing after–sales service to BlackBerry customers. This means that all of our BlackBerry woes are now ALL brought the The Cathay, instead of the current 3 locations, mainly, Funan (Brightpoint) Leng Kee Road (Qool – Redhill) and Keppel (Brightstar). This would of course include all 3 telcos as well. The expert centre is now open and the other service centres will cease servicing as of end of 2012.
As long as you have a locally-bought NOT PARALLEL IMPORTED (such as BlackBerry Bold 9630, 9650, 9930) with valid local warranty (warranty card that is filled up properly if not, must come with a valid receipt), just bring over there for your device woes. Of course, this will take some time, so if you have an issue, hit us up on BBM, FaceBook or twitter.

12th December 2012 – Research In Motion (RIM) is pleased to launch the first BlackBerry Expert Center in Singapore. Located strategically at The Cathay on Handy Road, the center is exclusively dedicated to providing after–sales service to BlackBerry customers.
This new BlackBerry Expert Center offers the most comprehensive set of after-sales services offered by an authorized partner, furthering RIM¹s commitment to continuously delivering excellent after sales support to customers. The BlackBerry Expert Center aims to provide fast service and onsite repairs where possible to enable customers to retain their existing handsets (and PIN) without the need for a loan or replacement handset.

The BlackBerry brand is hugely important as we believe it represents not only our products but also our customers and our commitment to them. Thus, we are here to ensure that BlackBerry is relevant to all our customers in Singapore.”
The new BlackBerry Expert Center also offers a dedicated dealer section for better, faster more convenient service. It will help dealers access the services and expertise they need to better serve customers and grow their businesses.

Do you repair a blackberry bought in Indonesia ?
xmad says:
Well, depends on problem, I do, but not under warranty.
On the other hand, the BlackBerry Expert Centre will only handle sets purchased locally (Singapore). To claim warranty, you will need to bring it down to the Service Centre in the country it originates from.

Hi,
I have a Bold 9930 from US. Is working fine on 2G and Voice. According to my Telco support team, the phone is not log-in to my 3G data. Thus, I am not able to access the mobile data. It also work fine with wifi. I doesn’t require the BIS but needed the data for app when I am alway from wifi. Have check the 3G Band (2100) is supportable by this model before purchase.
As my phone is not faulty, I am not expecting repair services. Just checking whether your experts aware of any configuration issue. Did some research. Could it be the PRL?
The last Bold carry by me Telco is 9900 which I understand is similar to 9930.
Any assistance appreciate. If it is hardware compatibility issue, I can live with it.
Thanks.
