BlackBerry Jam has started in the USA, San Jose! With so much going on, here’s a summary to what we have learnt there. Read on to find out more!

First of all, the existence of the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B has been confirmed.

The above picture shows a demo of BlackBerry 10 on stage with an obviously labeled device.

Still on the topic of the BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha B, here’s a video giving a sneak peek showing how the new OS works.

The BlackBerry Flow seems to work seamlessly with just the slightest touch of a finger, without even having to press any button to go back to the main screen. Sure looks like it will be a welcome addition to individuals who often multitask on their device.

The entire concept of the BlackBerry 10 is the experience, which RIM named BlackBerry Hub. It is the centre of communications and can be easily operated with a simple gesture. With this, there’s no more need for a Home button to access more details by going in and out of different apps.

Besides BlackBerry Hub and Flow, there’s also BlackBerry Peek.

In the following video, it is briefly shown and demonstrated together with the new Browser interface.

Also, we have a preview of the new BlackBerry App World.

Great news for all those who live and breathe social media! BlackBerry 10 will have apps for all major global social networks. No need to worry about your friends and followers not knowing what you are up to!

Facebook took the opportunity to go on stage and present their BlackBerry 10 Facebook app which is ready for launch. The app integrates with BlackBerry Hub and works together with Peek and Flow to have seamless and instant access to Facebook notifications.

The following pictures are blurry as the Facebook representative demonstrates the seemingly fluid function of the app without exiting or switching app.

With that, this concludes on what was featured and covered during the first few hours of Day 1 of BlackBerry Jam San Jose.
