BlackBerry devices now account for less than 1% of mobile web traffic in the US, according to a report. Also, according to the study, it found that Research In Motion’s BlackBerry smartphones have seen a 25% slump from September 2011 to July 2012. The bright side of this is, only USA has such sales and results, whilst it is rising rapidly elsewhere, especially in African region.

According to the analyst:

A widely shared belief is that RIM’s lacklustre response to the iPhone was a critical mistake that cost BlackBerry its top market position late last decade

But of course, the service black-out not long ago as well as many people waiting out for the new BlackBerry 10 devices could have easily attributed to this figures.

Now, for the data web traffic, we are also not forgetting the fact that DataSmart technology has been employed and in use in our BlackBerry devices as well.
