BlackBerry has a new contest lined up for you to get your creative juices flowing!

Skins are like stick on stickers for your phone to not only give it a whole new look, but also to give it protection against common scratches. There are many brands on the market, ranging from OEM (no-brand) to branded offerings (Gmask, GelaSkin and PhantomSkinz). Today, we are honored to be able to host this exclusive regional competition from BlackBerry using Gelaskin as the basis of the competition.

What’s in it for you? Regional recognition and a chance to get your creation produced as a Limited Edition Skin for BlackBerry devices. We’ll also give away a BlackBerry Bold 9900 to the Singapore winner!

How to enter the contest?
1. Design a skin for one of the following BlackBerry devices:

• BlackBerry Bold 9900
• BlackBerry Bold 9790
• BlackBerry Curve 9360
• BlackBerry PlayBook

2. Go to: http://www.gelaskins.com/create
3. Choose the BlackBerry device of choice (for creating the design) from the list in the website in (2)
4. Have your design ready* for upload.
5. Upload the design and follow the instructions (Let’s lay it out!)
6. Perform the necessary editing and adjustments as provided by the Gelaskins website (in (2)).
7. Proceed to ‘Preview’ the design
8. Screenshot the design and submit it by emailing us [email protected]
9. Ensure that you keep the high-resolution artwork files – this will be needed in order to proceed to print your winning design (as well as to validate and access you as the winner)
10. Be as creative as you can but standard social and online etiquette applies!
11. Ensure that you own the copyright of the design(s) / images / artwork that you will be using. Also, you must include the BlackBerry Logo within your design. (Sample 1, Sample 2, Sample 3, Sample 4, Designs are not limited to these samples, but it must include the 7 dots that form the BlackBerry Logo)

 

Terms & Conditions/Notes:

1. Contest is open to Singaporean residents only
2. Contest closes on 25 March
3. The top 3 designs will be chosen by RIM and moderators at Our Berries on 28 March, decision is FINAL
4. The top 3 Singapore designs will be open to public voting from 28 March – 3 April, so make sure your friends vote for you if you’re in the top 3 on OurBerries.com
5. The top Singapore design as chosen by Public will win a BlackBerry Bold 9900
6. The top design from Singapore will then compete against other top designs from the region to win the best GelaSkin award
7. The top three designs from the region that secure the most votes will have the skin produced as a limited edition skin!
